I dont think marriage is a death trap per se – Its not like most single people are “happy” either.

People set death traps for themselves, and marriage is just one of many ways to make your traps long lasting.

If you are happy you can be happily married. If you are not happy, marriage will make things worse.

I think that a lot of people don’t know how to be happy. They aren’t proactive about it. Instead of realizing that its something they have to self generate, they react to externals. They’re looking for someone to make them happy.
